In a powerful initiative aimed at boosting student confidence and academic success, Memhir Akalewold Secondary School hosted a motivational and exam preparation workshop for its Grade 12 students gearing up for the 2017 Ethiopian academic year’s National Examination.

The event was part of a broader effort to support students academically and emotionally during this critical stage of their educational journey. It featured inspiring presentations and success strategy sessions led by a team of highly respected professors from Wollo University, representing disciplines such as: Chemistry Biology Physics Mathematics Law Management Economics

These scholars were delegated under the university’s community outreach and assignment program, aiming to support local schools and students in their academic goals. They shared not only technical tips for exam readiness but also personal stories, motivational guidance, and study techniques to foster resilience and ambition among students.

Adding significance to the program, the event was honored by the presence of Ato Alamuye Baye, Chairman of the Desse City Administration Teachers' Association, who delivered a message of encouragement and emphasized the importance of hard work, focus, and self-belief. His presence reflected the local government’s commitment to strengthening educational quality through collaboration and recognition.

To close the impactful session, the school community expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guest speakers. In a moment of appreciation, certificates of recognition were presented to each of the professors, acknowledging their generous contribution of time, knowledge, and mentorship.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the following: Wollo University for its continued partnership and dedication to academic empowerment. The School Administration of TTSS for organizing and facilitating this impactful event. The Guidance and Counseling Team for their behind-the-scenes support and coordination to ensure the event’s success. This motivational training marks a strong step toward empowering students not only to succeed in exams but also to embrace long-term academic and personal growth.
